While not many golf courses are
opening anywhere in the country, the St. George, Utah and Southern Nevada area
has seen 3 new courses open in the past 5 years open to rave reviews and
recognition.
Kokopelli Golf Club is located about
30 minutes east of St. George, in Apple Valley, Utah adds yet another
track to the stellar golf options this region has to offer. With a challenging
design, plentiful bunkering, and remote location, an enjoyable round of golf in
a stunning locale is sure to be experienced.
The holes have been routed using the
natural terrain as a focus of the look of the golf course. With five tough holes
playing along a jagged lava rock canyon, this is not only a test of skill, but
provides a great visual look for some wonderful golf holes. Additionally, five
holes playing along a mountain side giving a a few holes a mountain course feel,
with tough uphill shots, and a few holes with big downhill elevated tee shots
and risk reward options.
The remaining eight holes are a less
dramatic without dominant natural features, but are they are still quite
interesting with big white sand bunkers framing the playing corridors, along the
rolling high desert landscape. |
